Inside Track: YouTubers Jacksepticeye and Markiplier hope Minecraft fans dig deep for T-shirts – The Times

When Microsoft dropped €1.9bn to buy the gaming phenomenon Minecraft, who’d have thought that Irish T-shirts would be a spin-off?

Offaly gamester Seán McLoughlin, better known as YouTube star Jacksepticeye, has turned them into a thing. McLoughlin’s YouTube channel has 24.5 million viewers and over 13 billion views. By comparison RTE’s player has been downloaded three million times and had four million streams last month. I’m told McLoughlin is ramping up the Cloak clothing brand, which he set up with Mark Fischbach, aka the YouTuber Markiplier.

The duo have set their eyes on creating a brand completely dedicated to the gaming community. I believe that they have just inked a deal with Microsoft to produce a Minecraft line for the 91 million active players
