Top 5 new skins in Fortnite Season 2 – Fortnite Tracker

With a brand-new Battle Pass and some fresh drops in the item shop, we are currently spoilt for choice when it comes to cosmetics. Here are five of our favorite skins so far in Fortnite Season 2.

Although the launch of his Icon Series set may have made him slightly biased, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins recently praised Epic Games for “stepping up the skin/cosmetic game”. This is definitely the case in Fortnite’s latest season, we’re only just over a week in and there’s already something for everyone.

So without further ado, here are five new skins ranked from worst to best:

5. Tango

Originally, this outfit was only available to players who placed in the top 5% during day one of the PlayStation 4 Celebration Cup. However, early on in Season 2, Tango was added to the item shop so that everyone could get their hands on him.

Whilst people who unlocked the skin in the PS4 Cup may be a bit annoyed to have lost their exclusivity, it still makes for an interesting concept going forward. Hopefully, in the future we will get more chances to win cosmetics and save our precious V-Bucks.

4. Deadlock

The newest outfit on the list, Deadlock caused some controversy with the Apex Legends community. They accused Fortnite of copying Apex again, saying that the skin is a rip off of their character, Crypto. The main reason for this seems to be that Deadlock is part of the “Crypto Collective” set, other than that the only similarity is a bit of green.

Regardless, it’s a pretty cool look and fits in perfectly with the secret agent theme of Season 2.

3. Bunnywolf

This is definitely one of the craziest skins we’ve ever seen in Fortnite. Bunnywolf takes reactive outfits to a whole new level, switching styles every time you swap from your pickaxe to a weapon.

The neon lights certainly look the part, but streamers and pros are concerned that the constant color changes are causing FPS problems. So, unless that gets cleared up, maybe keep Bunnywolf in the locker for any tournaments or competitive matches.

2. Iris

First leaked way back earlier in Season 1, the Iris skin was one of the most highly anticipated drops for Fortnite fans. For a while, people thought she would only be available as part of a promotional offer when purchasing some new phone or tablet, like the Galaxy and Glow skins in the past.

Luckily, it turned out the Iris set was actually the latest starter pack, which is still available at time of writing. This means not only everyone has a chance to cop the outfit at a cheap price, but you also get a new pickaxe, back bling and 600 V-Bucks for your troubles.

1. Midas

enter image description here

Come on, we couldn’t forget this guy. Obtained by reaching tier 100 on the Season 2 Battle Pass, Midas was a big part of the teasers we were given by the developers towards the end of last season. FaZe Clan star Nate Hill managed to pull off an impressive cosplay that he played as on stream.

Upon unlocking Midas, player have the option to choose either his Ghost or Shadow variant. This suave secret agent will turn everything he touches into gold (only visually, weapon rarity doesn’t change) when you use him in-game.
